The Dashanbao Black-necked Crane National Nature Reserve in Yunnan, China, is a Ramsar-listed wetland and the world's most significant wintering ground for endangered black-necked cranes. Spanning 19,200 hectares at 2,200-3,364m altitude, it hosts over 2,260 cranes (2024 data) amid subalpine marshes, meadows, and lakes. This biodiversity hotspot also shelters 737 plant species and 286 vertebrates.
